Description
Deep Ellum icon - The Adam Hats Water Tower
Adam Hats building is a City of Dallas landmark. The 4 story red brick building was built by Henry Ford as a model T production plant in the 1920s. It was purchased by Adam Hats in 1955, but was left vacant in the mid 80s. It is now home to beautiful loft apartments in the trendy, bohemian area of town known as "Deep Ellum"

There's an old time radio show "The Strange Dr. Weird"-- you can still download episodes at the internet archive old time radio section-- and as I recall, all the commercials during The Strange Dr. Weird were for (you guessed it --drumroll, please:) Adam Hats. I Never thought I'd encounter that brand again, much less featured in a finely focused photo. Got 2 love it! v/f

cfc-dif5, will any of these hats be at the Nat. Western Stock Show?
Norma Brock replied:
Not unless it is an antique dealer! The hat production ended and the building was left vacant in the 1980s. It is now a city of Dallas landmark and houses upscale loft apartments.
