This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?

Artist's Description
Here's a new take on a classic symbol! Introducing Turn Peace Around - a wonderful new twist to an old idea. For more than half a century, we've had a peace sign which was actually drawn as a man in despair, with arms down and out, representing death and despair. This new take on the classic peace sign has an inspiring new message! The Turn Peace Around version, with arms upward, is a much more positive symbol for peace. Texas Eagle Gallery has joined a collective group of new age "Peace-niks" to share the message of hope, peace and love. For most of us, this means we are PRO-peace, not anti-war.
Our Turn Peace Around symbol now has the arms raised up in hope, joy and positive energy. This may seem like a small change, but isn't it best to wish for what you want? We believe a positive intent achieves a positive result. So join us to spread the message of our 'flipped' peace sign, a pro-peace symbol, based on positivity rather than despair. There is power in symbol...

Yes, William. Gerald Holtom is credited with it's creation for a Nuclear Disarmament march. He describes the symbol this way: "I was in despair. Deep despair. I drew myself: the representative of an individual in despair, with hands palm outstretched outwards and downwards in the manner of Goya's peasant before the firing squad. I formalised the drawing into a line and put a circle round it.". Even then, some wanted to invert the symbol to celebrate peace. Hope those who read this will join us to promote peace, not despair.

Hi Charlie and Norma, enjoying your new take on the peace symbol. Wonder if you knew that the original was the combination of the two letters N and D in semaphore. N being two flags down at a V shape and D being one flag straight up overhead and the second straight down. The N D stood for Nuclear Disarmament. It was used by a group in England in the fifties. voted, favorite
